HECTOR HERRERA is an animator and filmmaker, and the co-producer of the documentary The Coddling of the American Mind. He co-runs the studio TOGETHER Words+Pictures with writer and producer Pazit Cahlon, producing animated work for education, journalism, and documentary storytelling. Hector’s short films have screened at TIFF, the Berlinale, and other international festivals. He is currently adapting Michael Shellenberger’s Apocalypse Never into an animated series and leading design and animation on the documentary White Guilt, based on Shelby Steele’s book and directed by Eli Steele. He is also a senior editor at The Coddling of the American Mind Substack and writes his own Substack, Friendly Fire, which explores free speech, cultural conformity, and institutional failure.
